NEW YORK REUNION
| The Far Rockaway High School Class of 1959 celebrated its 50th Anniversary at a Reunion Party Saturday night, April 25, 2009, at the Marriott Hotel at NY LaGuardia Airport. People flew in from all over the country to attend. Carol Waxman Cohen and Karen Klein Lutzker did a wonderful job of organizing the event. David Schnitzer was the Directory Editor, photographed the event and put together a website with the many photographs he took. Between them, they created a memorable evening, and helped us to reunite with many former friends and classmates, not only from FRHS, but from Elementary and Junior High days. For a small bunch of us, the Reunion brought together classmates from PS 39 in Far Rockaway, but there were other mini reunions taking place for people from Belle Harbor, Arverne, Bayswater and all the other neighborhoods in which we grew up. Many of us in attendance also had cameras. I take my camera everywhere I go, and created this smaller website to share my photos of the evening.
